Adult Performance Camps
Ladies Ski Camp TBC (late Nov early Dec)
Adult Performance Camp 1 TBC (late Nov early Dec)
Adult Performance Camp 2 TBC (late Nov early Dec)
"The CDC adult performance weekend is the perfect environment to improve your on piste skiing ability, boost confidence and learn new skills. The coaching you receive both on and off the hill is first class, up to date and easy to understand. This makes the transition into skiing gates much easier and most importantly enjoyable. 15 seasons in the backcountry and I almost forgot how much fun they are! Thanks Chemmy, Dougie and the CDC team for a excellent season opener."
(Tom Lockyer - former GB Children's Team)
After the success of the last two years we are delighted to announce that Winter 2019/20 we will be hosting 3 Adult Performance Camps, and one specifically for Ladies. This isn’t us being sexist - we had a lot of women get in touch wanting a specific weekend for them - we ran this last year and had rave reviews!
Again we will base the camps on the amazing and varied terrain of Hintertux, which delivers every year with guaranteed great snow (access to the glacier and all mountain skiing!) This is a camp open to all skiers who can comfortably ski a black run - holiday skiers who have always secretly wanted to hit some gates and try to emulate their hero Lindsey Vonn or Marcel Hirscher, masters racers looking to lift the GB title, parents of racers who want to be able to experience the same thrills, spills and emotions their children go through. Whatever your goals we will help you reach them! We have the skills and numbers in our coaching team to divide up into small groups to make sure you get a fantastic and individual experience.
Ladies Ski Camp Sunday 24th November - Friday 29th Nov
Adult Performance Camp 1 Friday 29th November - Tuesday 3rd Dec
Adult Performance Camp 2 Wednesday 4th December - Sunday 8th Dec
Location: Hintertux Austria
With its high altitude and multiple training slopes (4 different options available) this is the perfect base for a great camp. A great reference website covering all aspects and more details of the glacier
Guided by Olympian Chemmy Alcott and World Cup athlete Dougie Crawford, CDC provide world class coaching where every coach is highly vetted in terms of communication skills, their talent and their passion. Our coaches can ski. They will be able to demo all the skills asked of you, both in and out of gates. For our visual learners we even use the art of imitation by giving you the opportunity to follow our ex racing coaches down through the gates to demonstrate both tactical and technical needs.
Excited to announce Chemmy will be back this year with her inspirational coaching!
We adopt positive coaching strategies at all times providing constant feedback to you in an encouraging but clear manner. Combining our care, passion and knowledge has become our proven formula for success.
You don't even need to have race skis to take part because we have a great relationship with a local ski shop for our camp in Hintertux, who can rent out race equipment from skis, boots, poles to back protectors. We will help arrange this and make sure you have what you need at the hotel waiting for you. It also allows you the opportunity to test skis - different lengths, models and makes - to find out what works best for you!
We know that at the end of a tough day on the slopes you want some down time. Last year we loved staying at the 4* Hotel Tirolerhof (https://www.tirolerhof-tux.at) so we have already reserved rooms for our group for this period. We also negotiated a great price of 65 euros shared (75 euros single occupancy) half board - with an amazing dinner every night! Please email Claudia on and say you are with CDC and you need one of the rooms and your specific dates.

Last year the feedback was fantastic - yes it was a camp to improve skiing, but the overall sentiments were that it was great fun, social and also even good for networking (over a few bottles of wine in the evening!)
WHAT PEOPLE SAY
James Palmer Tomkinson
It was an extremely comprehensive and varied programme blending the technique with the gates and also mixing it up between GS, Super G, parallel slalom and technique/exercises. I know that everyone also found all the video feedback hugely constructive.
Most importantly everyone enjoyed it enormously and there was such a great vibe to the four days.
I will not lie, it took me less than 10 secs to sign up after I saw the email about an adult performance ski camp. The opportunity to channel my inner Ted Ligety was too tempting... and wow was I not disappointed. Directed by Coach Dougie we received 4 days of hands on expert coaching which has given me huge confidence and hopefully made me a better and faster skier. The company on the trip was equally enjoyable with everyone sharing a common love of skiing, socialising and on at least one night stretching / fitness!!!
If you love skiing and you want to get better, this is the weekend for you! You will not regret it.
I just wanted to say thanks for a fantastic camp. It was an excellent programme and has given me lots to the think about with my skiing. Doing the gates and then the race today was so much fun too! It was great also to experience what the children do, and indeed the challenges they face - making adjustments, getting the right line and and generally. It's obviously not always as easy as it seems from the side of the race piste! It was a great group of people on the camp also and as always CDC worked so hard to make it all happen. Looking forward to the next one.
